PRO12 Captures 55 MWP’s, 337 Regular Wanted Persons, & 1,750 “In Flagrante Delicto” in less than Two (2) Months

PRO12, General Santos City- Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12) cops arrested 55 Most Wanted Person (MWP’s), and 337 regular wanted persons, and 1, 750 persons arrested “in flagrante delicto” or persons who has committed, is actually committing, or is attempting to commit an offense.

This number alone was accomplished by PRO-12 operatives in just less than two (2) months in Region-12 from the period January 1-February 20, 2019 the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division (RIDMD) 12 record showed.

Among the six police provincial and city offices in the region, South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO) got the most number of arrested MWP’s with a total of 1, 486 (MWP-10, RWP-90, Warrantless Arres t-1, 386).

Cotabato Police Provincial Office with 215 (MWP-12, RWP-98, Warrantless Arrest-105), followed by General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) with 125 (10 MWP Arrested, RWP- 27 and Warrantless Arrest-88), Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) has 135 (MWP-11, RWP-55, Warrantless-69), Sarangani Police Provincial Office (SPPO)-128 (MWP-12, RWP-56, Warrantless Arrest-105), and Cotabato City Police Office with 53 (RWP-11, Warrantless Arrest-42)

Warrant of Arrests were served for the arrest of suspects charged for murder, illegal drugs, robbery, homicide, theft, etc.

The regular wanted persons were arrested for light offenses.

Police Brigadier General Eliseo Tam Rasco, Regional Director of PRO12, said that the significant number of arrested persons was due to the stringent implementation of Oplan Manhunt Charlie against wanted persons in the region in support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s marching orders.

“We are currently using the full force of the law in annihilating criminality and illegal drugs and part of it is our intensified operations against these arrested suspects” said RD Rasco.

Further, he said, “Those at large have nowhere to go. Our troops are relentlessly going after them. Surely, they will be put behind bars”

“This is a major breakthrough in our law enforcement operations due to our collective effort in PRO12 and of course with the support of the community to bring about peace and security in any places under my leadership” RD Rasco added.
