PRO 12 General Santos City-Police Regional Office 12 during its celebration of 25th PNP Ethics Day with the theme: “Tapat na Paglilingkod, Susi sa Pinaigting na Kampanya Laban sa Korapsyon” held at PRO 12 Grandstand on Monday morning, January 14, 2019 conferred Medalya ng Kasanayan to Eighteen (18) Police Commission and Non-Commission Officers.
Rev. Father Bonifacio A. Ampoyas, Guest of Honor and Speaker/Parish Priest of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish led the presentation of Medals to the Police Commissioned Officers for their eminently meritorious performance displayed as members, secretariat, and support team of promotion Board for 1st semester CY 2018 Regular Promotion Program for 2nd Level Polic e Commission Officers and Police Non-Commission Officers in which a total of 474 personnel were promoted to a higher rank on august 20, 2018.
Awarded were Deputy Regional Director for Administration PCSUPT ULYSSES C CATON who headed said promotion Board; Regional Chief Directorial Staff PSSUPT MANULA M LUKBAN JR; PSSUPT NOEL U KINAZO; PSSUPT HENRY V VILLAR; PSUPT MARCY S SALTING; PSUPT ADRIEL B GRAN; PCINSP JAIME DY CHAVEZ; PCINSP JOMERO C SENTITA; PSINSP MA ODEZA A RENDAJE; PSINSP MARK BHIRGEL O ZORETA.
While the awarded Police Non-Commission Officers who displayed eminently meritorious performance as Secretariat and Support Team during the said PNP promotion program were SPO4 Jesus C Bismar Jr; SPO1 Janice S Pineda; PO3 Jonathan Lee S Mejores; PO3 Jimabelle B Ontanillas; PO1 Jachel Mae G Cuarentas; PO1 Catherine G Meguines; PO1 Hazel Jade B Rosaot; PO1 Hanna Jane C Belmonte.
At the later part of the flag raising ceremony, Rev. Father Bonifacio Ampoyas delivered his message w herein he stressed out the significance of incorporating and nurturing the PNP values in Police Officers’ day-to-day work and further emphasized PNP’s motto “To Serve and Protect” which was the most notable statement during his speech.
Further, he said that Police Officers should perform their mandated tasks not only in exchange of the compensation and as prescribed by the job description but for upholding the above-mentioned creed.
“To Serve and Protect, we always hear that. The emblem that is imprinted in our lives as we move forward to the formation of a police officer. It tells of our identity and our mission” he said.
“We should show the people the we are an epitome of values. It is inherent to everyone of us no matter the denomination and even in the time of Abraham, it is the same” he further added.
Rev. Fr. Ampoyas ended his message by thanking all policemen saying he always included them in his prayers not because it is his obligation as a priest but his way of doing it as PRO 12’s spiritual director, counselor, and a good friend.(PO1 JOSE DULLANO III-RPIO 12 PNCO)
