The Oplan Mapayapa shorten for Oplan Mapayapang Sambayanan on its 21 days continous implementation across Region 12 has now a total of Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety Six (7, 996) persons apprehended for violation of National Laws and Municipal Government enacted laws or Ordinances.
Of the total number recorded, Three thousand five hundred Nine (3, 509) were apprehended and released with Citation Tickets for violation of RA 4136 or the Land Transportations and Traffic Code.
One Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Four (1, 844) vehicle impounded (1, 337 single motorcycle, 25 four-wheeled Vehicles, 216 motorcycles with side car, and 266 motorcycles with open pipe)
PCSupt Marcelo C Morales, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) said that the Oplan is on its on-going intensified implementation regionwide and had gained support from communities.
“I had clearly instructed my City and Provincial Directors of the stiff implementation of the Oplan” said PCSupt Morales.
“We are very happy about the outstanding result of our operations and this lessened the number of cases of incidents which involved most of the minors” PCSupt Morales further said.
“Recently we formally launched the Oplan Mapayapa in the province of sultan Kudarat so that to make the people in the province aware of the operations which is already in-effect throughout SOCCSKSARGEN because we are doing it for their own good and to further prevent them particularly the children from being involved in committing violations.” He added.
Said period, Two thousand six hundred forty three (2, 643) violations of ordinances were recorded of which the prevalent violation with most number of violators were Smoking (762), Loitering Half-Naked (555), apprehended minors and sent home with their parents in violation of Curfew Hours to Minors (478), Drinking in Public places (381), and regular Curfew Hour (266).
Other violations of ordinances include Alarm and Scandal, Child at Risk or those minors driving without license and Operation Internet Café/Computer Gaming Shop.
