Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12) cops arrested 58 Most Wanted Person (MWP), and 160 regular wanted persons in Region 12 in just 34 days from the period January 5, 2018 to February 8, 2018 the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division (RIDMD) 12 record showed.
Among the six police provincial and city offices in the region, South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO) got the most number of arrested Top 10 MWP’s with a total of 17.
Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) tied with Cotabato Police Provincial Office (CPPO) with 10.
The rest were Sarangani Police Provincial Office (SPPO) with eight (8), General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) seven (7), and Cotabato City Police Office (CCPO) with six (6)
On its 160 arrested regular wanted persons all over the region, CPPO topped the list with 50, followed by GSCPO-37; SKPPO-29; SPPO-25; SCPPO-25. CCPO
Warrant of Arrests were served for the arrest of suspects on the lists of Top 10 MWP’s charged for murder, illegal drugs, robbery, homicide, theft, etc.
The regular wanted persons were arrested for light offenses.
PCSupt Marcelo C Morales, Regional Director of PRO12, said that the significant number of arrested persons was due to the stringent implementation of Oplan Manhunt Charlie against wanted persons in the region in support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s marching orders.
“We are currently using the full force of the law in annihilating criminality and illegal drugs and part of it is our intensified operations against these arrested suspects” said RD Morales.
Further, he said, “Those at large have nowhere to go. Our troops are relentlessly going after them. Surely, they will be put behind bars”
“This is a major breakthrough in our law enforcement operations due to our collective effort in PRO12 and of course with the support of the community to bring about peace and security in any places under my leadership” RD Morales added.
