PRO12, Tambler, General Santos City- The Turn-over of Command Ceremony this Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017, was imbued with PCSupt Cedrick Gayona Train’s words of profound gratitude for all the support extended to him by the men and women of Police Regional Office 12 as he bid farewell to the place that has become an epitome of change and progress thru his leadership in almost two years.
“I thank the men and women of P.R.O 12 who serve as an inspiration and aspiration, I urge them to continue to support the new Regional Director,” Train said.
The outgoing Regional Director also expressed his positive perspective towards his new assignment as the new Director of Directorate for Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) in Western Mindanao.
Train also put an emphasis on the fight against terrorism and insurgency. He said that security measure should be strengthened against the CPP NPA NDF (CNN) that poses a threat to destroy peace and order in the region.
Train was conferred with the Medalya Ng Katapatan sa Paglilingkod or PNP Distinguished Service Medal.
Deputy Director General Archie Francisco Gamboa, The Chief Directorial Staff presided the turn-over of command/authority to PCSupt Marcelo Casabuena Morales, the incoming Regional Director of PRO12.
PCSupt Morales, whose previous position was Director of PNP Maritime Group, expressed his deepest sense of gratitude to the people responsible for his designation as Regional Director especially to the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte; USec Catalino Cuy, Officer-In-Charge, DILG; Police Director General Ronald Marapon Dela Rosa, the PNP Chief; Mr. Christopher Bong Go, Special Assistant to the President and all others who believed in his capacity, supported and prayed for him.
“Allow me also to pay tribute to my late father, 2LT Porferio Morales, whose legacy is the source of my inspiration, he did not live long enough to see my assumption as Regional Director, but I am sure he is very happy watching us today.” Said PCSupt Morales.
Further, PCSupt Morales assured the men and women of PRO12 of his leadership, he said “I will do my best and I will not fail.”
He also promised to carry on the plans and programs that his predecessor had started and initiated as well as to push more reforms towards the delivery of an effective and quality public service to everyone.
The newly installed RD on his final lines of his message called upon every stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation to his leadership so as to attain better initiatives and other potential venues towards peace and security in Region 12
