      PNP MODIFIED SCOUT II CLASS 33-2013 FORMALLY OPENS!

 

Police Regional Office 12-jpg the Regional Service Training Unit (RSTU) 12 opened the 33rd batch of a forty five-day Special Counter Insurgency Operations Unit Training (SCOUT). 90 strong police officers joined the training to enhance their skills in responding to counter insurgency incidence. It was opened on June 19, 2013 at PRO 12, Tambler, General Santos City with the Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) PSSUPT MANOLITO C LABADOR, CEO VI as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

SCOUT is a mandatory training to all PNP personnel to be equipped with skills in dealing with armed men and threat groups in our country. This training focused on the following subjects: First Aid, Rope Courses, Immediate Action Drills, Water /Seaborne Tactics, Terrain Modeling, Close Quarter Battle, Survival, Field Training Exercises and Community Immersion. Likewise, the trainees will also be trained to be physically and mentally fit in any situations required.

PSSUPT LABADOR emphasized the significance of the SCOUT Training towards making every police officers become efficient, responsible and effective public servants.   The good DRDA said that "It is better to sweat in training than to bleed in battle".

Also present were other members of the Directorial Staff, the Regional Health Service Team led by PCI DEDEL, and the uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of PRO 12. A reception proper followed conducted by the RSTU 12 Training Staff where the said activity was held at the PRO 12 Grandstand. 

Moreover, this training conducted is in line with the CPNP, PDG ALLAN LA MADRID PURISIMA’s CODE P—Competency. This training specifically aims to defend, protect, and serve the land and the community particularly from the rural areas that are prone to the threat groups.
